Chris Moser, 15, is a student at Standley Lake High School in Westminster, Colorado. He's on the varsity baseball team, but he also takes a fitness class. "I know I'm getting stronger," he says about the class, "and I have more energy for baseball" (Gard).
Some High Schools are starting to incorperate a wide variety of different sports that almost everyone can participate in, whether they are athletic or not. The important thing to look at here, is that many schools are trying to limit the amount of people that grow obese because of the limited time or effort that they use to excercise. Many schools are requiring the following activities to be a part in the student's daily PEclasses.
http://www.climb365.net/Images-middle-pic/summer-images/beginners-rock-climbing.jpg
http://www.susport.org.uk/assets/archery/archery-indoor-practice.jpg
Aerobic activities include:
Jogging

Kickboxing
Self-defense
Excersise is very important at this age, because most adolescents are forming living habits that will carry on and follow them throughout their lives. If a child, for example, doesn't excersise and eats junk food and fast food almost everyday, that child will have a harder time changing his or her diet in later years. If that child eats very many calories per day, then when the child grows older that same amount will enter their bodies, if not more. Thus, the child will continue to gain weight and will become obese and unhealthy. Excersise is one of the greatest ways to lose weight, because it is not only natural, but alsohas long term results. If someone excersises and starts to lose weight it will be easier and less of a hassle to excersise morein the future, therefore the weight can be kept off.

Conclusion:
In conclusion, any meal can be made healthy in a second. True, there are very unhealthy options at IA but when complimented by a healthier choice this lunch goes from thums down to thumbs up in a matter of one quick decision. After the health unit in class, unhealthy options are simply common sense, french fries are not healthy for you, but carrots are.
